Our gym is the ideal place to develop movement and gross motor skills. We change the material and equipment we have in the gym on a weekly basis to ensure we work on all the needed skills. Gym time is extremely important because it helps develop coordination and balance as well as strengthen the core and the body. We include both structured and free play during our time at the gym.
Gymnastics is a very important part of a child's development and is a complement to our strategy for education. In the gym, children develop their gross motor skills, including muscle tone and coordination, with activities such as jumping, climbing, reaching, balancing, and motor planning with equipment such as mats, a ball pit, basketball hoops, hula-hoops, tunnels, slides, stairs, ropes, swings, and balance beams.
